How do I book a doctor house call in Winnipeg?

Call 204-582-2362 (58-22-DOC). Phone lines are open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week. Have the patient's health card ready (Manitoba, or another province or territory). Our office books a same-day visit for you.

Can I book a house call for my parent, spouse or someone I care for?

Yes. Family members and caregivers can book a house call for someone else. You will need the patient's PHIN (Personal Health Identification Number), which is printed on their Manitoba Health card. If the patient has health coverage from another province or territory, have their health card ready and we'll confirm the details.

What is a PHIN?

Your PHIN is your Personal Health Identification Number. It is printed on your Manitoba Health card. We use it to book your visit, and it is how Manitoba Health covers the visit.

What should I have ready when I call?

Have the patient's health card (a Manitoba Health card with their PHIN, or a health card from another province or territory), their full address including any apartment number and buzzer code, and a phone number where we can reach you today.

Not yet. We are setting up an online patient portal, and a link will appear on this website when it is ready. For now, please call 204-582-2362. Phone will always be available.

Who can get a house call?

People of all ages who live inside Winnipeg's Perimeter Highway. House calls are especially helpful for seniors, people with limited mobility, people too unwell to travel and parents with sick children.

Is there an age limit?

No. We see patients of all ages, from babies to seniors.

Which areas of Winnipeg do you visit?

We visit homes anywhere inside the Perimeter Highway (Highways 100 and 101). If you are not sure whether your address is inside the Perimeter, call us and we will check. See areas we serve.

Do I need a family doctor or to be a White Cross patient to book?

No. You don't need to be a White Cross patient or have a family doctor. Anyone who needs a doctor at home, inside the Perimeter Highway, is welcome to call 204-582-2362.
